Footwear Care and Usage Instructions
Usage Instructions
- Selecting shoes suited for your intended purpose and activity ensures optimal longevity and comfort.
- Allow shoes to rest for 24 hours between wears so absorbed perspiration can evaporate completely. Rotating your shoes supports both foot hygiene and material durability.
- Never store footwear in damp, humid, or unventilated environments.
- To prevent natural creasing and preserve structure, use wooden or plastic shoe trees, especially after daily wear.
- Never wash shoes in a washing machine or immerse them in water unless explicitly labeled "machine washable".
- Clean exterior dust and mud with a soft, slightly damp cloth before applying polish or conditioner.
- Allow wet shoes to dry naturally at room temperature. Keep away from radiators, direct sunlight, and heat sources, which cause leather cracking and sole delamination.
- Unless footwear is certified waterproof, natural leather and suede may absorb water in rain or snow.
- Genuine leather soles should not be worn in heavy wet weather to prevent softening and premature wear.
- Always use a shoehorn when putting on shoes and undo laces completely when removing them to protect the heel counter.
Material Specific Care
- Smooth Leather: Clean with a soft damp cloth. Condition and polish periodically using matched or neutral shoe cream.
- Suede & Nubuck: Brush gently with a designated suede brush or eraser. Protect with silicone-based water-repellent spray. Never apply ordinary cream or water directly.
- Synthetic & Patent: Wipe clean with a soft microfibre cloth.
